Located at 4470 Chouteau in Forest Park Southeast sits Arnold’s Quick Shop & Kitchen. Arnold’s cooks up just about everything a classic diner would, but with their own friendly flare. Having said that I entered Arnold’s with one thing in mind, the double bacon cheeseburger. Mrs. Arnold puts her heart into every ounce of these heavenly burgers just as her late husband, the original Arnold did.
The burger is a generous hunk of meat smothered in American cheese. The bacon is crispy, the bun is warm, and the extra toppings are fresh and free!
Once I got my burger fix, I began glancing at pictures hung on the walls of the interior to see what else this place stood for. I quickly realized why the neighborhood had such good things to say about this family-run establishment. This will be the 5th year Arnold’s has been donating Thanksgiving meals to families in the area. In 2012, Arnold’s provided around 28 families with Thanksgiving dinner, and hope to reach even more this year. They also accept outside donations to go along with their own personal efforts.
