For over a decade, households in both Forest Park Southeast and Botanical Heights experiencing hardships during the holiday season, have been the recipients of support from the staff at Washington University School of Medicine.   Each year, WUMCRC works with resident stakeholders and various social service agencies in the area to locate families experiencing extraordinarily tough times.  Each family is then adopted by a department at the School of Medicine.

The families usually receive toys, food, clothing, bedding, housewares, small  appliances and utility assistance. Twenty-nine families were helped this December through generous donations by Washington University School of Medicine employees.
