The WUMCRC Holiday Outreach program is an annual initiative that helps families and seniors in need in our surrounding neighborhoods.
Participating departments from the Washington University School of Medicine, the BJC medical campus, along with other organizations and volunteers, help aid families with monetary donations, gift cards, grocery cards and utility bill assistance during the holiday season.
The Live Near Your Work program provides benefits-eligible employees of with forgivable loans to help with the purchase of a home in select neighborhoods.
The CWE Neighborhood Security Initiative, of which WUMCRC is a founding member, is a community-based organization dedicated to neighborhood safety and advancement by contributing to the common good. Formed in 2007 to respond more efficiently to crime, the initiative has excelled in bringing accountability to its supplemental bicycle patrols and has adopted the latest security tools and strategies.
Partnering with the CWE NSI, WUMCRC works to communicate and inform residents about safety and security resources, updates, and alerts to help reduce crime. Safety and security are key to a successful neighborhood, and our goal is to assist residents in fostering a consistently safe and secure neighborhood.
