Holiday Outreach

Our annual community outreach initiative administered by the Washington University Medical Center Redevelopment Corporation with the help of generous donors and sponsors.

We provide gifts to children, essential household items to the elderly, and support area families and individuals with food and utility assistance. Participating departments of the Washington University School of Medicine and BJC HealthCare are matched with a local family to help obtain items from their wishlist. Families participating in the 2019 Holiday Outreach Program lived in Forest Park Southeast, Tiffany, Fountain Park, Vandeventer, Central West End, Botanical Heights and Lewis Place.

School Supply Drive

WUMCRC is proud to participate in an annual donation drive to support local schools and provide supplies to grade school classrooms. In the beginning of the fall semester, our employees help transport and gather donated supplies on behalf of Washington University departments to local institutions such as The Biome School.

Central Corridor West Safety & Security

The WUMCRC initiative works closely with the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department, supplemental security companies, residents and businesses to communicate and inform residents about safety and security resources, updates, and alerts to help reduce crime.

Safety and security is key to a successful neighborhood, and our goal is to assist residents in fostering a consistently safe and secure neighborhood. We are currently working with the following neighborhoods: Forest Park Southeast, Botanical Heights, Central West End, Medical Campus, Fountain Park, Lewis Place, Vandeventer, Academy, Skinker-DeBaliviere, Debaliviere Place, West End, and Visitation Park.
