New Cor-Ten Steel Entry Marker Installed

The second Forest Park Southeast cor-ten steel entry marker has been installed.  It is located at the southeast corner of Tower Grove and Chouteau Avenues and represents what the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood has become known for, a historic neighborhood located next to great attractions such as the Science Center and the Art Museum.  The first cor-ten steel entry marker is located at Tower Grove and Vandeventer Avenues and both signs were funded by Washington University Medical Center.  Next time you’re in the area, stop by, take a look,  and write a comment letting us know what you think of the new marker.

We got a chance to talk to Wesley Fordyce, the designer of both entry markers…

“When people drive by the signs, I know they will be thinking ‘Wow…What an exciting neighborhood!’ Not only will they look at it and recognize how the markers represent all of the great architecture in the neighborhood, but also the strong sense of community that exists in Forest Park Southeast. Ever since I worked on the first marker, I recognized the great attributes of the area including Washington University Medical Center and now I am a property owner here and I couldn’t be happier.”
