Washington University and BJC Health Systems are pleased to offer their eligible employees an Employer Assisted Housing Program. In order to permanently stabilize DeBaliviere Place, Forest Park Southeast, Northeast University City, Skinker-DeBaliviere, and certain West End neighborhoods, forgivable loans are offered to eligible employees. Employees who purchase a home as a primary residence in one of the eligible neighborhoods will receive the lesser of five percent (5%) of the home’s purchase price or six thousand dollars ($6,000) to be used for points, closing costs, or down payment
assistance toward the purchase of a home. The loan is completely forgiven if the employee remains in the home for five years.
Purchase rehab loans will be five percent (5%) of the combined purchase price and rehab cost or six thousand dollars ($6,000), whichever is less. Effective September 16, 2009 the maximum loan amount for Washington University employee participants purchasing in FPSE will be $8,500.
