WUMCRC Welcomes a New Intern

WUMCRC would like to welcome our newest community development intern, Jessie Mueller.   Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Mueller is currently obtaining her graduate degree in social work at St. Louis University.  Prior to her current education, she received her undergraduate degree in english education from Lindenwood University and taught eighth grade for four years.

Duties as WUMCRC’s Community Development Intern include, assisting with the organization of  Grove events and coordination of  social services within the 17th ward.

Mueller’s future career goal is to work on a macro level within urban and low income communities,  focusing on community building and policy work.  Her goal is to raise awareness of social services for vulnerable groups in urban communities.

Her interests include gardening, biking to the local farmers markets with her family, and reading.  One of Mueller’s favorite books is about the Waldorf Schools and their German inspired philosophy on education.
