Ashley L. Johnson has joined the talented WUMCRC intern team.  Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, she moved to St. Louis to attend graduate school at Saint Louis University. Ashley is obtaining her masters degree in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development with an emphasis in community revitalization and housing.  Ashley’s career goal is to start her own revitalization firm that also houses both an architecture and construction company.  She believes this combination will allow the  revitalization process to be more efficient.

While interning at WUMCRC, Ashley’s main contribution will be to assist Gelinda Connell (Safety and Security Project Manager, Park Central Development) and Travis Phelps (Community Development Manager, WUMCRC) in community safety initiatives and various other tasks.  When Ashley is not at her new internship or attending classes at school, you’ll find her reading books about drama, both fiction and non-fiction, drawing, and cooking one of her favorite Mexican dishes.
