Meet our newest community development manager, Ashley Johnson. Johnson is from Chicago, Illinois but has been living in St. Louis for the past few years while completing her Master’s degree from Saint Louis University. Before moving to St. Louis, Johnson received her bachelors degree in Urban Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Then, Johnson completed her master’s degree in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from Saint Louis University.
As the new community development manager, Johnson is also responsible for leading community projects in:
- EAHP
- Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Ownership Model (NOM)
- Real Estate Development Recruitment
WUMCRC asks, “What are the advantages of working in Forest Park Southeast?”
“I have a passion for community development, and look forward to working with active neighborhood stakeholders and community groups to build partnerships and contribute to the successes of the neighborhood.” -Ashley Johnson
While away from her WUMCRC duties, Johnson enjoys cooking and singing karaoke. Since moving to St. Louis, Johnson has been impressed by the unique neighborhoods and the city public attractions that St. Louis has, including the Zoo and the Arch. Ashley’s favorite meal consists of cheesy enchiladas with rice and beans.
