All of the familiar planters and barricades scattered throughout Forest Park Southeast are in the process of being replaced with more attractive concrete bollards. For the past 4 days, the City of St. Louis and Gateway Contractors, Inc. worked through snow and ice to remove planters along Newstead at Gibson and Arco. The bollards each weigh one-ton and were manufactured and shipped from Wisconsin.

“There hasn’t been an instillation like this in any other part of the city. I know that Forest Park Southeast is experiencing a resurgence and continues to improve and these bollards will definitely aid in cleaning up and beautifying the area.”
