The Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood is located South of I-64 between Kingshighway and Vandeventer, and boasts quintessential St. Louis red brick buildings. The neighborhood is filled with red brick one and two story flats that were developed between 1880 and 1920 in close proximity to major manu-facturing jobs. During its height in the 1950s, the Neighborhood was home to well over 11,500 residents who walked to nearby jobs and shopped along the bustling Manchester Avenue corridor.
