For the last 14 years, WUMCRC Executive Director Brian Phillips has overseen the many positive initiatives that have helped transform Forest Park Southeast and the Central West End into the neighborhoods they are today. In those years, the areas have seen a dramatic decrease in crime, a critical expansion of economic investment, a burgeoning improvement to the housing stock, and an unparalleled commitment to strengthening the quality of life for residents.
Because of this, Focus St. Louis has chosen Brian Phillips and Washington University Medical Center Redevelopment Corporation as one of this year’s honorees of the What’s Right With the Region award. For the past 13 years, Focus St. Louis has honored outstanding community success stories at their annual ceremony and this year Phillips and WUMCRC will be honored for “Promoting Stronger Communities”.
