In case you haven’t noticed yet, new plants have been placed in the flower planters lining Chouteau and Manchester Avenues. Since their initial debut in 2009, the planters have been located at cross-sections of those two streets, but there are plans for future planters to be placed along Manchester and Vandeventer Avenue.

Here are some pictures showing the transformation of the Manchester and Sarah Parking lot. The lot has been weeded and cleaned of trash, plants added, trees pruned, and 20 yards of mulch spread. As you can see, it is now in much better shape. Before: After:
Over the weekend volunteers helped improve the Manchester and Sarah parking lot in the Grove. Thanks to all the volunteers and especially AmeriCorps and Rebuilding Together for helping coordinate this event. Funding for supplies was provided by the Grove Community Improvement District and Land Reutilization Authority.
This Saturday, WUMCRC and AmeriCorps volunteers will collaborate on an improvement project for the parking lot at Sarah and Manchester Avenues. 25 volunteers will clean, weed, mulch, prune and plant throughout the area.
